Cordierite ceramics have a very low coefficient of linear expansion, which gives them outstanding thermal-shock resistance. They resist cracking through repeated heating and cooling, which is why they are a standard material for kiln furniture such as setter plates, posts and saggers.

We supply flat, honeycomb, perforated and special-shaped cordierite parts, built to the customer kiln dimensions and setting requirements.
